The globe mallows, Sphaeralcea, are a genus of annuals, perennials and shrubs, most of which are native to the dry scrublands of North America. They're valued for their silvery, downy foliage and vibrantly coloured flowers.
Sphaeralcea 'Hopleys Lavender' is a bushy perennial bearing pale, lavender-pink flowers along the length of the stems, which stand out against the silvery green foliage. It makes a fantastic addition to a sunny gravel garden.
For best results, grow Sphaeralcea 'Hopleys Lavender' in full sun in a well-drained soil. Avoid planting anywhere that will become excessively wet in winter.
