I have red and yellow cherry toms and red current toms all tumbling varieties and was thinking of doing some in hanging baskets .
I would love any advice from anyone who has done this not sure how many plants per basket or what compost to use for living results (bit scared they may just wither and die)
I grow 'tumbling tom' in hanging baskets every year with success. I put about 3-4 plants in a 14" basket with ordinary multi-purpose potting compost. They do need frequent regular watering and I feed them (once a week) when the first tiny tomatoes form. Good luck. Lindsay
Thanks lindsay feel a bit more confident now
I'm growing some this year too. Do you take the side shoots of the tomatoes plants. Think I read somewhere that you leave them on the hanging basket ones. But not sure.
Yes, leave them on with these varieties.
