I have a patio apricot tree (prunus armeniaca) which I purchased in 2011. Last year it was a lovely tree and when the leaves came this year there were no signs of problems. However, the leaves now look to have been eaten by something, of which I can find so sign of, and they are starting to curl slightly and the new growth is looking curled and very unhealthy. Most of the leaves have small holes in them. I have taken several photographs if anyone has any advice.

Peach leaf curl, because you did not cover it against the rain?

Thank you for your response. I have read a little about peach leaf curl. Do you have any advice on how to cure this, if possible.

Read some more about it.  I have never grown fruit plants that suffer from it.  I think you have to pick off the affected leaves.  But I am sure you have to keep the rain off the tree at certain times of the year.  Someone will come along who knows about these things.

Information on peach leaf curl and treatment here:

The leaves can look a lot more blistered than they do in the illustration.
