Potato growing bags

Monty's experimenting this year to find out if one or two seed potatoes works best. The instructions on the growing bags I have say 3-5 seeds per bag. Last year I used 5 per bag. The quality was good, but yield was disappointing (Rooster, Charlotte, King Edward, each in at least two bags). Can too many seeds per bag reduce the yield?

I normally use three per bag, one per bag just seems like a waste to me?

You can put three in and get lots of little ones, or one in a get bigger ones, your choice.
