Hi All

Last autumn I planted some onion sets at my allotment. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to rake lightly and carefully between the bulbs and add some growmore or some other fertiliser at this time. Any ideas?

I planted some too and they haven't done very much. The raised beds are new and have good soil with lots of rotted down compost, so it can't be for the lack of food? However your post has encouraged me to add a little organic food but please take care with the raking in as onions are shallow rooted and you could do as much harm as good.
