Cucumbers

Is it possible to cut a cucumber in half and leave the top half on the plant to continue growing while you consue the other half.

I find I am throwing away 75% off my crop as I cannot eat it quick enough.

I do not have time for fancy pickling etc as I come in water my pots then slob.

all my plants are grown in  pots or troughs 2 floors up on a small balcony.

Yes, you can cut a cue in half and leave half on the plant. Haven't tried it but seen it done on TV.
