Good morning I've just joined , can anyone tell me what I should look for with regards to blight. I planted about 20 of the above end of April , while the foliage is healthy and green I've noticed that 2/3 of the plants heve gone yello and died off. I have only one flower on one of the plants and that has'nt flowered yet    Help please required if anyone knows. First earlies and the potato is Pentland Javelin, thank you

With blight, the leaves go black rather than yellow - like this:

It could be just that they've finished, or that they lack water. But potatoes don't always produce flowers, especially if they are happy. Have you dug any up yet? They are probably ready to eat.

Yeah first earlies should take about 12 weeks until they are ready to be dug up. They don't all show the same signs of being ready though.

it sounds like they're ready, or they have died off early due to lack of water.  dig one of the ones with yellow tops up and see.  water well the one's with green tops, trying to water the soil and not the leaves.

Thanks to you all , I dug 4 plants up last night and the crop seems to be ok, so they'll be in the pot tonight for dinner , once again thank you all so much

Keep  watering the ones with green tops, and the potatoes will continue to swell , so you will get  a bigger crop.
