i have a kiwi plant ,one branch i trained horizontally ,triimmed back when it got to about 3ft,then another branch sprouted that grew straight up to about 6ft--no fruit or even flowers--what should i do with it now?

they do not take kindly to being pruned and it will have to be a self fertilizing or you will need two. They like a sheltered spot and I know they will take off and some chopping will be needed but for the first while just train it along ,

The RHS say pruning is important to help them produce fruit.  Their very detailed advice is here:

I have to hack mine back hard and often (and with no ill effects) as they are rampant!  They are a tough plant.
