I have just bought 2 packets of what look like Black Radishes in the photo.

Once home - I turn packet over to read instructions to find that they are in Russian! Must be the reason the seeds (with many more varieties of goodies) were only 30p a packet but with good Use Buy dates.

Is this Black Radish the same as Chinese Radish or Winter Radish? Apparently I sow in May/June to eat Sept-Oct or do you think this is just in Russia?!

If it is the one we have grown in the past then they are very nice. Hot and spicy and used by us in Stir Fry meals.

Yes, if they are the long rooted type,  they are good raw or cooked.  Another good one is the white - usually called Mooli.  The black should overwinter in the ground here successfully.
