Hi
I've just lifted the first of my main crop potatoes from potato bags to see how they were doing (king Edwards). I was disappointed to find that although there were tubers they were no bigger than a golf ball!
Any guidance on increasing there size? I water them well as I know this variety doesn't like drought.

these are from one tuber . grown in a raised bed . 2nd early desiree i think . best for a long time . taste . dooooooooooooooooonuts erm erm
Have the haulms died off yet? With the cold spring I would guess that they are 3 weeks behind schedule. Leave them for another 4 weeks.
Cheers steephill
I was starting to think the same thing. I've seen a potato fertiliser which I'm going to give a go as the compost in the sacks must be inert by now
could also depend how many tubers were planted per grow bag to many tubers planted can effect size of crops
