Ruined swede

once again my swede have all suffered severe damage in my in laws garden. I have not protected them and have had to throw the lot away already as they were so badly eaten and filled with woodlice. how do i protect my swede from them next year?

You probably need to protect them from slugs and snails as these will have caused the initial damage, the woodlice will have only moved in afterwards.

Swedes are pretty cheap and they grow best in a field, so let the farmer grow them for you.
