My garden pictures. Trying to show the limited back space I have but the majority of space is at the front of my house where its mainly lawn with small boarders.... http://twitter.com/Inky_Trace/status/319937440636870656/photo/1 http://twitter.com/Inky_Trace/status/319937292565352448/photo/1 http://twitter.com/Inky_Trace/status/319937102848614400/photo/1 http://twitter.com/Inky_Trace/status/319936943108546560/photo/1 http://twitter.com/Inky_Trace/status/319936564878770176/photo/1

Red dahlia.....yes I can what a dedicated and keen gardener you are. What a lovely lay ouf and can see it exploding with colour in the summer. The pics, help too, when you talk about your garden.
Is that the border you want to widen...picture 2 ? Yes, I would definitely widen that a bit.

Agree with you re the border Verdun. I have a similar situation here and I'm planning to open out and renew what was a tiny border with an established rhodie next to front door -same as your Fatsia RD - and it always looks better to have a few 'big areas' than several small or narrow ones. You have lots of scope in the back for different ideas RD so that's exciting!  Walls are always nice to have aren't they and I love the raised bed ! Definitely be having some of those here!

The boarder that bus worrying me is actually the last 2 pictures up near the pergola on all sides. It's about a foot deep. Will try and find another picture for you. The front I am shelving for now and thinking of raised beds. Hang on will look for pictures. The raised bed is actually 3ft nearly deep. Oops!!! My OH used the wood he accessed cheaply and size was secondary!!
