Hi,

I am about buying seed of ANGELICA URSINA . But I read that it contain furocoumarins, which increase skin sensitivity to sunlight and may cause dermatitis.

is anybody of you have this plant in the garden?

Several of that family do, I was got by cow parsley and my son by celery when he was cutting it at a growers. Giant hogweed is the most notorious. Don't know this one though.

Hi ,looked it up on Google  Nutcutlet  quoted Giant Hog-weed ,Angelica Ursina allso contains the same chemical that  Giant Hog weed has, that rang alarm bells big time with me, this plant in a warm dry summer secretes a sap that gives unprotected skin a sunburn effect which will continue for several years the burned skin must be protected against the sun with clothing their is no known antidote AVOID like the plaque ,

Derek
