Any help with ID of this please?

This is a plant that was left in our garden since my mother lived in the house who has now sadly departed us.

it sometimes has red berries and flowers occasionally (from memory i think they were white flowers but cant be sure)

i would love to know what it is so that i can best care for it.

    I agree with nutcutlet - the cherry laurel Prunus laurocerasus.

    The leaves are certainly more Aucuba than Prunus so it could be Aucuba Japonica Rozannie.
