Any help with ID of this please?
This is a plant that was left in our garden since my mother lived in the house who has now sadly departed us.
it sometimes has red berries and flowers occasionally (from memory i think they were white flowers but cant be sure)
i would love to know what it is so that i can best care for it.

I think it's an aucuba
In the sticks near Peterborough
I agree with nutcutlet - the cherry laurel Prunus laurocerasus.
The leaves are certainly more Aucuba than Prunus so it could be Aucuba Japonica Rozannie.
