Hopefully they are - the one year old plants that I cut back are showing no signs of growth so would be handy if these were littluns.

Keep'em in a pot, Muddle-Up. Then you can take a pic and let us know what they turn out to be. But I'd bet a pound to a penny that they're not VB.
Mine seed themselves everywhere, and it's hard work weeding them out. Useful when in the right place, but a nuisance in the hundreds I've been faced with. Perhaps the problem is that I hoe them out before they get to a useful size for identification.
They're not Verbena b but I'm responding also to see if I get notified when the next person replies as I seem to be out of the loop on notifications. But not VB, sorry.
