Best herbaceous foliage

VerdunVerdun Posts: 23,348

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I have quite a fondness for donuts, .....er, I mean Persicara Red Dragon.......right now.  It is prob the brightest purple/red foliage of anything in the garden and will provide this colour all summer.  A cut back twice during the summer....not too much, perhaps by half......rejuvenates the colour.

any favourites or recommendations for, colourful herbaceous foliage?
