Mid June - and daffodil leaves are still green (and sprawling over other soon-to-bloom favourites)...... I have been very patient up until now - but surely they're usually well over by now? Or am I getting forgetful?
I do exactly the same as hostafan, they always come up next year, no problem, so mine are having a cull, along with primula denticulata, all heading for the compost, except the ones promised to a dear friend
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
I tidied up (hacked about) the flowerbed under the washing line last week and the daffodils there were still very green and healthy looking. Mind you last year my daffodils seemed much slower than any in the grass verges around here!
I've still got one or two narcissus in flower! The peonies and roses are out but the cool weather has meant the spring flowers have lasted much longer than usual. Even more of a difference than normal - I'm used to GW mag telling me to deadhead things before mine have come out.

Still green here in South Wales. Just Imagine how nice they will be next year from your patience
i lost patience a couple of weeks ago, dug them up and put them all in a bucket of soil to die down.
first week in June and I get rid. Never had a problem with that.
