Chinese foxgloves
I just wondered if anyone has tried chinese foxgloves. They look great but I'm wondering if they are invasive or tempramental? I saw them in the local garden centre and really like the look of them but I've wasted a lot of money on plants this year that either got eaten by slugs or didn't like their position and I don't want to make any more mistakes. A recommendation would be good.

That's Rehmannia elata, never heard them called Chinese foxgloves.
Not over hardy but seed about a bit. Nice

The garden centres around here are flogging them as chinese foxgloves. The leaves looked a bit like japanese anemone which made me wonder if they were invasive. I don't mind not too hardy, I just don't want invasive although I make an exception with japanese anemone as I love them so much.
Not related to Japanese anemone in any way

Great thanks
I thought what was called chinese foxgloves was the paulownia tree.
I have a Rehmannia or Chineses Foxglove and I love it, you dead head the old flowers and a new one grows very quickly, which is the kind of plant I like.
the label says it's a "foxglove like" flower so I guess its called a Chinese foxglove because of its re semblance to an ordinary one! but the flowers are bigger and longer There is no information to say it spreads ?
Ordinary foxglove flowers bloom once then die which makes the plant look unsightly as it gets to the top. I recommend it.
It's very pretty, does it grow from seed I wonder?
Yes it does Lyn, It self seeds. But I still managed to lose it after a few years
