I have a garden (no surprise there!) and young children..... boys mainly........  and several footballs!! Over the last few years I have lost a few plants due to the above mentioned.I have managed to save a poor little Clematis plant that has been so battered over the last few years that it has never had chance to flower, I don't remember where or who I got it from and have no idea what type it is. Having now banned all ball games in my garden my little treasure has given me one flower! Can  anyone recognise it?

Sorry that I have not taken a picture of it open, I was just so excited to see it there!

It is very exciting Sara, so just for you

Think we'll need a pic of the flower once it's open for identification purposes

Thanks Flora, I am hoping for a grand opening tomorrow! I also need to do a little housekeeping around it too!
