Can someone please recommend a climber for a big half barrel pot please? It will be in the Sun all day. If possible one that is evergreen but that has flowers I think I might be asking for too much
...the plant you want is Trachelospermum jasminoides, sometimes called Confederate jasmine.... you can get them in most garden centres. It will need some trellis to twine around... and enjoys moist soil... regular watering... you might like to look that one up and see what you think...
It's also called Star Jasmin. I have one in a pot, needs a big pot. It can look miserable after the winter but it soon picks up. People say it's tender, but mine survived -17° and snow
This isn't mine, I haven't a photo, but it shows you what it's like.
the 2011 -2012 winter. (I live in Dordogne)
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

That's funny, it's changed the last two lines over! Above.
Was going to be naughty and say this was my garden...but it isn't
Taken in Florence a few years ago. Would love to grow it here!
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks all
