Thanks for the tips folks! Only sowed mine in the heated propagator last night so got a few days yet before they show themselves!
Oh, and try to rotate. I turn my plants regularly to ensure good growth.

I grow Cosmos Purity, living in Cornwall we get warm but wet weather, last years rain helped the growth and plants like petunias didn't survive but these did. This year I'm growing 3 in each small pot, so there's no root disturbance, then straight into the garden when they are hardened off. I found the orange germination not very good, I've got 100's already in the greenhouse, this year I'll put large groups together
