Dianthus

I have recently cleared a house which has belonged to my family since they built it in the 1840s.  I found a biscuit tin (with Churchill on, naturally!) full of old seeds; some certainly 1960s, others look earlier.  I had success with a packet of parsley from the 1960s.  There is a little jar, originally containing "The Tablets" from Boots the Chemist (date unknown!) but a sticking plaster label has been added with DIANTH LABURNUM written on.  Inside there are a lot of tiny black seeds - I don't think they're laburnum seeds, happily!.  I wondered if there was a variety of dianthus with that name, or perhaps they were just the variety of dianthus growing near the laburnum tree.  I will try sowing a few but any thoughts and suggestions would be welcome!
