I forgot about this thread.. Well I can update I have had great results, from the the bag method on the windowsill. The one's I left in rainwater rooted after a couple of weeks, they was potted on and are doing great.
Gardenia I'm not sure about this late in the year but hopefully Brumbull will come back. You might need some sort of heat in the soil. Are they inside or outside?
Brumbull that's a method I will try next year, What time of year do you do that?
The one on the left is from the rainwater jar (delta sarah). The midde one is MsB suggestion from with the bag on the window (alice hoffman) On the right is from the water jar but is missing it label, strange. So will have to wait for it to flower before I find out. The one with the most growth has to be the one that spent its early days with covered with a bag
Hi brumbull, you posted I'm typing very slow at the mo.
Not a problem ZG, if fuchsia cuttings are outside in a glass house they will require bottom heat - hence a hotbed, most exhibitors of fuchsias start striking their cuttings in late sept / oct to enable them to grow on for the following season, most exhibitors use a source of bottom heat.
