Growing agastache

ecokidecokid Posts: 138

Anyone have any tips on the best way to germinate this plant? I heard that it's very susceptible to fungus/mould rot. I normally soak most of my seeds prior to planting (unless especially fine), but should I just pop them in moist seed compost?

  • They seem a bit temperamental from my own limited sowings of it. I sowed them onto moist compost and they germinated fine, however, even after they had a good two pairs of true leaves, most of them died after being repotted. Next time I will sow a few seeds into each individual coir pot and prick out the smallest to save moving them.

Thanks Jimmy. Will try a cautious approach and keep you updated. image
