Hi mark, I've not sown annuals at this time before either, just been out to check on them and the corncockles are growing fast, there's a few roots peeping through the bottom already and some of cornflowers are just popping through the soil. Even having a go at autumn sown sweetpeas.
Depending on how fast they grow I might have to pot them on before the winter. I'm really pleased to be sowing at this time of year as usually by Jan I'm itching to sow stuff. Sowed some ragged robbin seeds late as well, and they are seem to be doing well, but there will be a lot to pot up. Don't have a greenhouse yet so they will be in my cold frames
I've been growing forget me nots over the last couple of years and everyone was right, I won't have to grow them from seed ever again, they are everywhere! I've been transplanting them all around the garden............free plants
