Heavy moist clayish border

Tim13Tim13 Posts: 1

im trying to fill a moist heavy soil border in front of house bay window. Over the last 2 years they had lavender in, but it's slowly died off, I think due to the moist soil.

It it gets sun for 3 hrs in the late afternoon, any suggestions on what else I could plant to fill the area and flower in summer. ( like lavender but not dead????)

thanks

What about one of the Monardas or Astrantias, they both like damp soil although the Monardas are in the bergamot family and when crushed give a scent?
