Some kind of bulb, possibly an allium, do the leaves smell of onion/garlic?
Or it could be grape hyacinth / muscari
hi fleurisa they don't really smell of anything
That's it grape hyacinth now at least I can find out how to maintain them.
I no tell me about it Philippa it's taken over a 12 x 6 ft bedding area need to get control of it
I was somewhat amused when a non-gardener remarked just how popular grape hyacinths must be 'as they were everywhere'. He had asked what they were and was definitely taken aback when I said they were everywhere because they liked the conditions round here and spread like wildfire. I've now got the pale blue ones on the go in pots as well as the dark blue ones which I have under a hedge.
