I've just noticed these holes in lots of my laurel leaves, and some leaves have been chewed round the edges.

What is causing this and what do I need to do about it if anything ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you had any hail falling over the last couple of weeks? This can happen then.  Otherwise, someone has had dinner, likely as some of the holes are at the edges.  Look carefully all up the stem and other leaves & see who is around - they're having good flavoured food whomsoever they are!

No hail I'm afraid.  Should I try and treat it, or leave it ? The laurel is on the edge of a small woody area at the end of lawn and herbaceous border.
