A friend has this growing in her garden - does anyone recognise it?

 Is it a Knapweed?

I think so. The leaves look like the one Nut gave me, and the heads look the same but without tthe petals

I dont think that this is an echinops as I have lots of these in my garden and they dont look like this.

I dont know what it is though Im afrad

Mine still haven't caught up

But they have seeded into a very shaded place so maybe that's the trouble.
