Hi,I recently recieved over 400 bulbs consisting of Muscari armeniacum,Allium moly luteum,Anemone coronaria,Liatris spicata,my question is,is it too cold to plant these bulbs out just now,any and all advice gratefully accepted.
I would get them in the ground as soon as possible. Some of thm should be coming into flower any time now so they may not do much this year.
Darren if it were me I would drop them into a nursery bed clearly marked and let them grow some root then in Autumn lift them and plant them in the position you want them to be.If you do not have a nursery bed then deep pots will do and then the same come Autumn. Some may leaf up and even flower but do not expect much for a year.
