i have grown a kiwi fruit plant successfully ,grown up supports but no sign of flowers or fruit i trimmed it a little ,but it just produced more shoots,anything more i can do?

Hi Ian. I grew mine from a packet of seed from a local store and like wise no sign of any flowers or fruit I did read that you also need to have two of them to get any fruit.I have no room for another one as this one is over 20 feet long already,with it's large leaf it is good for covering things up on a fence or wall.

Hi Ian. The normal brown furry Kiwi fruit need a male and a female plant to produce fruit.

The "Jenny" variety is self-fertile, but needs 3 or 4 years to get established before it fruits - they don't print that on the label.

Also it seems the plant needs to be pruned to encourage fruiting - http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?pid=600.
