I cant say that i really like dahlias. Bad memories of when i was a florist and having to scub out the buckets that had had dahlias in and the water had gone stagnant. Even thinking about it i can smell them and it was over 30 years ago. Dont i sound old.At least i can enjoy them in other peoples gardens

I must admit as my Dahlia plants are growing in numbers (only the open flowered ones) I won't be lifting them, far too much of a hassle. If they survive they do, if not, I will buy fresh tubers each Spring. They are not expensive which makes it an easy choice.

I have bees on my dahlias everyday. I think it's a favourite of them.
