Linseed oil

hi all,

i made a wooden planter out of some leftover fencing, with the intention of planting one of my Japanese maples in it. As an extra bit of protection for the planter, I was going to coat the inside with some boiled linseed oil, then suddenly thought if linseed oil has a detrimental affect on plants, has anyone got any ideas please?

I used linseed oil to protect the wood in my greenhouse and it did not seem to harm anything.

Aha thank you, I suspected it was fine, being a natural product, but wasn't 100% sure.
