Hi Everyone
My lupins have now finished flowering and the blooms look rather brown and sad. I heard or read somewhere that if you cut them back, you can get a second flush. Is this true and if so, to what extent should they be cut?

Cut just below the bottom dead flowers on the spike.
I just cut mine back keeping the head for seeds.cutting them back, that is taking the flower head off will encourage more. Also feed the plant every week too!
Wow speedy response!
Thank you fidgetbones and rose. I shall try cuttng back as you recommend and feeding too which sounds a logical thing to do to give the plant more energy.
Thank you
