New bulb storage

I bought various spring bulbs last week but didn't have time to plant them before the rains came.  I want to put them in the ground rather than pots, so planting may be delayed for a week or two.  Should I store the bulbs in the dark or the light?

Dark for me and not too warm or they'll try to grow and then get dehydrated.

and in the dark of course - so that they'll light up...image

Dark and cool would be best. Too much light will inevitably mean more warmth, and that's when they'll try and grow, and then dehydrate as obelixx says.
