When I posted the first picture a couple of months ago, asking for identification, no-one could name it and you asked for a picture of the flower. So here is the plant again, which now has a stunning yellow flower and many more buds. Can anyone identify it now please?
Having googled Hypericum I think you are right nut - it is most like the images of the Polyphyllum. Yes the flowers are exquisite, but only last a day or two - luckily there are plenty of buds on the plant. I think it is a perennial, and although the plant itself isn't looks quite fragile I am hoping it will overwinter in it's place by the pond.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction AGAIN! x
Yes, the pond edge is a dry one - with pebbles used for decoration. We haven't got the natural/wild pond edge I had hoped for - but it is still very nice and I am pleased this Hypericum Polyphyllum is a perennial.
