I have grown salvias from seed and they are now about 6 inches high.  Unfortunately they have been that size for weeks.  Should I just plant them out and hope for the best?

6 inches high is good-are we talking the bedding red salvias?

Yes get them planted

No, these are beautiful Sarah Raven dark blue ones

I would get them planted. Harden them off by putting outside during the day and bringing back inside at night for a few days beforehand though.

those blues are worth growing but tender so need overwintering next year in greenhouse

Thank you so much everyone.  They're already in my mini greenhouse open to the elements so they should be brave enough now.  I thought they were annuals, so thanks for the advice re wintering
