Hello,

Can anyone tell me what this greeny white plant is behind the red Astrantia?  I really like this combination and would like to plant some but I don't know what it is!

Thank you

  • wow, that was quick!  brilliant, thank you.

  • my next question, on finding out that these are a bit poisonous and like shade, is if you could recommend anything which likes a relatively sunny spot but has a similar greeny white colour.

My hellebores are in full sun all day, no problems with them. As for poisonous, almost everything in the garden is poisonous

Does anyone know which Astrantia that is? There are so many good dark reds.

Hellebore looks rather like H. foetidus. Easy enough to tell, crush a leaf! If it stinks then it is foetidus

I think its astrantia, looking from the foliage
