Skimmia Japonica Rubella

Hi guys,

I have a very large Skimmia Japonica Rubella that I have inherited in my garden. It's probably 1.5 m wide and would like to move it. Is this possible and if not how well will it get on if I cut it right back?

Thanks

Jo

  • That's brilliant thank you. Just one thing, as it's so big I'm gonna have to cut some of it back otherwise I can't get close to the roots but how far can I go?

  • Ok Verdun, I might give it a go. I'll see how the weather looks over the next week. Thanks.

  • As an evergreen it may help to leave any cutting back to spring lest you harm it. You can kill an evergreen at this time of year. OK to move it tho'.
