Yes. Grow both these plants.

Evergreen shrubs are very useful in any garden.

 

The Gaultheria procumbens spreads and never grows more than a few inches tall.

Pieris get taller.

Hope you have acidic soil.

Hmm, well it does say on the label it can be planted in tubs and planters to 'add colour'. But it also says that it will grow to a meter wide/tall so it may be alittle big for a window box when it matures. But it will deffinatly grow in the shade
