A joy to see happymarion.
Would like to hear your talks they're inspiring

I planted loads of tulips in the autumn, but not that many have come up, must have been the cold wet winter that rotted them.

Here is a bit of a new bed I've been making, not finished yet. Been away for 10 days and the clematis "Early Sensation" was in tight bud, now it's out.

Is it just my computer or is there a problem with photos? They all have a white band above and below them and when you click on the photo it doesn't do the enlargement it did before.

^ a nice looking country garden there... I've also lost a few tulips I had in pots...

I seem to have the very same little red primula that Happy Marion has above, I really like the colour.

Most people seem to have a flowering currant in their garden, this one is Ribes 'Koja', which I find to be more upright and profuse... a little redder in bud..

Veronica 'Georgia Blue', an alpine plant that needs sun and good drainage...

evergreen and sprawling ground cover...

I hope these photos are satisfactory, they've not been coming out too well lately, and it's not just me it seems... let's have a go...

edit: no I don't like those at all, I'm not putting any more up until they do something about it... it's not the same as it was, don't you think...? they seem to be centralising the images with a white border top and bottom and you cannot enlarge them either... most unsatisfactory  whoever is responsible for that...

20/04/2013 at 14:49

...ha!... now they appear to have disappeared..... this is quite funny...

20/04/2013 at 14:52

Salino, I did not get any of your pictures at all and you're right about not being able to enlarge any more.  i'll see what can be done about it.  My tulips both in pots and planted in the garden have been mind boggling.

...^I'm sure they have happymarion, and it would be nice to be able to enlarge them especially when one is looking at a rather smallish screen, as I am here... at this rate I shall have to get a magnifiying glass...

I would like to have had a closer look at that Clematis of Busy Lizzie's but to no avail... never mine, teething problems...

Thought you might like to see some of my spring flowers - snakeshead frittilaries are one of my favourites ...

I had nearly given up on my violas - but now they are going strong.....

and here are my daffodils, planted up in things we found abandoned in our garden when we first moved in - I love the water barrow, and the square container has "Walls" stamped on the front - it must have been used for ice cream !

Oh, they are lovely, chicky.  I do wish we could see the photos enlarged.

Thanks Marion - I guess the technos will get on the case on Monday

I do so love seeing all the photos. Hope the problems can be sorted out soon, so that we can see them properly.

Salino, I've now found on another thread that if you click on "edit" the photos disappear when you "save changes". You have to re-do them.

Right let's see if the photo issue has been solved.  My pussy willow has huge catkins on and loads of pollen.  It does look good against a blue sky.

Oh no they haven't!  Ah well here in miniature is the dazzling colour in my garden this lovely spring morning - warm. calm. blue skies wall to wall in Bristol on St. George's Day.

I have just had my coffee in front of this and it was buzzing with bees.

23/04/2013 at 11:46

More dazzlers.

More fab pics Marion. It must be lovely to sit out.

..oh I see, thank you...  this forum works in mysterious ways.... wonders still to perform..

I should add, I'm sure they're lovely photos Marion, but I can't see them properly...

I took my camera to the Bristol Univ. Botanic Garden yesterday to capture the beauty of the magnolia flowers with the threat of frost once more on the horizon!

26/04/2013 at 10:33

Forgot and edited - no pictures!  time something was done about this.  Here they are again.

Marion - snap ! - I have just been out taking pictures of mine now.  Not in their full glory yet, but the frost tonight could turn them to mush .
