Sweet pea advice

hi folks,

ive several sweet pea plants which I have had from seed and have put them into individual seed seed trays section.

they where planted in I think August/September last year.

they are now at least 18 inches in height is it time to plant out or to cut back?

sorry for the question but its my first time in growing sweet peas and fortunate or not every single seed has germinated ????

  • Hello, at that height I would pinch them out if you want bushy plants and don't forget to harden off!! Hope this is helpful.

  • Monty mentioned tonight that it's still too cold.  Pinch out the top to improve bushier growth and keep them in the cold frame.

  • So say pics down to 3 leaves?

  • I just pinched out the new growth above 2 leaves.  Mine are still quite leggy though.  There is a sweet pea thread but I can't find it.
