As  the daffodils are now in their full glory, I thought we should have a picture thread of members own daffs, or members own photos of mass plantings in public places.

Please no photos nicked off the internet.

These are my pots of daffs, to be seen from the living room.

Lovelt Fidgetbones.

I just missed this before posting my daffs on garden gallery, will repost some triandrus (I like my new found word!) here.

Mixed bunch picked from the garden

I like the triandrus sort. Like a bunch all together. This one is  Grand primo. I bought it half price in the christmas bulb sale, so it may be earlier next year. It has a really thick stem and up to 12 flowers on each stem.

I'm going to put the bulbs amongst the grasses in my wild flower bit for next year.

Triandrus are lovely FB, I'd never seen them until mine came through this year, planted Autumn last year. My two types are both tiny minatures.

From my double daffs phase. This year they are OK, but when it rains these are the first on the ground and with broken stems.

Look at the size of it, not bragging really, and it's about 18" tall as well.

I'm using David K's idea of a black background. In this case, a pair of trousers.

Supposedly pink flowers. I find that when they fade they are more apricot.

The split corona or orchid flowered

It amazes me, how many varieties there are and yet still instantly recognisable as a daffodils. I've just put a pot of 'rip van winkle' into the front to try and break up the multiplying 'tete a tete' that came with the garden.

Lovely pictures everyone and a great thread Fidget.

Lisa, is the top white multiheaded one of yours "bridal veil"?

03/04/2014 at 14:23

Lyn, do you know the name of your 3rd one down?

FB love the split corona one and as I'm looking for a pink variety your comment was useful, do you know the name of it? I have also seen one which claims to be lilac which I am interested in.

Ohhhhh, love love love this thread Fidget  A whole thread dedicated to my favourite garden flowers.

I took quite a few the other day but can't find my laptop charger to get them on, here is one to be going on with that I took just now in my iPad

Excuse the stray Lily that has gate crashed the photo, I'm sure no-one will mind

03/04/2014 at 14:29

Fidget, I've just sen your comment re double daffs, look at my miss droopy drawers at the front and it was the last to open

There are some gorgeous pics on here, so many lovely varieties

03/04/2014 at 14:36

Lovely thread.  Amazing variety from everyone.  Mine have 'gone over' now and it's the turn of the wallflowers next I think.
