Please can someone tell me what this is ? It appears every summer.
sorry , picture did'nt appear !
Bump! Sorry Tracey I haven't tried to post one yet but someone should be able to help you.
Tracey - to post a pic you need to click on the little tree image in the toolbar above where you're posting, and follow the instructions .......... good luck
Select the icon
dialogue window appears select open
now find the picture this looks different than the one you have because I run linux, but windows has something with the same function. select open.
next select upload.
finally select save you can give a title/name to the image but it doesnt make much difference.
Your image will now be part of your post and you can carry on as normal. Sometimes something may go round and you get a rotten tomato. if this happens try uploading the picture again. If it happens again you may have to try again later. My browser window looks a bit dfferent from yours but think of it like a car , its my car not your car but they both work pretty much the same
Hope this helps on this nice bright sunny morning
Clicking on the pictures above will show the pictures full size, I left the mouse pointer over the buttons that need to be pressed.
If your using a smart phone / tablet you will not have the toolbar and will have to do things differently by uploading to a site that allows photo sharing and posting a link/url/address of the image
Thank you all for you help. Still can't get picture on here though! Clicked on the icon , selected photo then upload and nothing happens !
Did you wait long enough Tracey? It's a long wait after upload if it's a large file. minutes, not seconds
Excellent. I know that plant but can't remember its name. I'll look through my book if no-one comes up with it.
Thank you nutcutlet ! I did'nt wait long enough, patience is'nt my strong point( especially with computers ). So, if anyone can identify this i will be very greatfull, it may even be a weed.
Well done tracey. I forgot that one vital detail after you click upload and wait eventually you either move on to the next step, save or you get a rotten tomato or sometimes just an error message but something will happen
Picture will not enlarge when clicked on because the file size is at max.
One of the sanguisorbas(burnets) I reckon, possibly canadensis
Have a look through Bob Brown's collection, you may recognise one
Nutcutlet, I checked Bob browns collection and yes it's definately a Sanguisorba,as you say possibly canadensis (or maybe an Albiflora ? ) I only joined this group yesterday and know i'm really going to enjoy it. Gardening folk are so friendly !
we like a challenge Tracey.
