Wallflower Seeds

ElusiveElusive Posts: 992

This may sound stupid but can I collect seed from Wallflowers while the pods are green?

I want to get sowing my Wallflowers as I feel its getting late and I dont know if the seeds are ripe enough for sowing.

I guess so. I wanted to put some fuchsias in :P

Maybe I will just leave 1 Plant in to collect seed from.

Im not too fussy on colour, I just love the smell and the bees love them too.

Do they generally come true from seed or will it be a surprise? image

I think it's OK to sow the seeds up until July. If they are hybrids they will not come true, but you may have some nice crosses.

The seeds have been developing for a while so i'm hoping they will dry soon for me to get sowing.

I removed all but 1 today and got my Fuchsias and other random stuff put in image
