What is this plant please?

It comes back every year and this year it has three of these trumpet like flowers with a centre spike. They're actractive to insects and don't smell too good.

Should it be there - should we get rid of it 'smartly'?

There was the same question yesterday from someone.
I didn't know what it was but it was identified as a Dracunculus vulgaris or Voodoo lily

Pretty impressive - and by all accounts pretty smelly

whether or not you get rid of it smartly is down to you. It's your garden. Do you like it? Yes or No?

Yes, leave it. No, dump it
