It was bought a few years ago as a house plant and looks like a succulent of some sort,any ideas as to what it could be please?

Looks very similar to a plant I grew from seed collected in the Canary Islands and given to me to germinate.  Might be worth checking out the flora of that area.

I no longer have it and unfortunately can't recall the name but was easy to germinate and grow on.

I've checked out some of the Canary Islands flora as you have suggested.

It could be some sort of Senecio?

Now think it may be Senecio archeri 'Himalaya' .
