Hi, my friend has a patch of soil 2x2 m which is not that fertile she wants somthing that attracts bees and butterflys she wants it either to grow very fast to be able to dig it up and move it around .

and help would be valued thanks

Mixed wildflower seed packs are fab, try getting the native British mixes if you can.

by the way this patch of ground is south facing.

Wildflowers would be great, but if she would rather have hardy annuals that you can sow into the ground there are :- nigella (love in a mist), Limnanthes (poached egg plant), Eschscholyas (Californian poppies), clarkia and cosmos.

Perennials to plant, a selection could be:- Thyme, campanulas, salvia superba, nepeta (catmint), erigeron, perennial geraniums, agastache, verbena bonariensis and stachys.
