The "varigated" conifer looks more like it has dying/frozen shoots to me!

So not a cotoneaster? Any other possibilities? Sorry for being a total noob!

..the white variegation on that conifer I think is natural for that type..can't remember what it's called, probably the one already mentioned but you see these sold in supermarkets as dwarf conifers...

..the 2nd photo I would say is Cotoneaster 'Coral Beauty'...
