I grow a beautiful santolina called Lemon Fizz. Glorious mound of yellow foliage. Anyone else grow it and what is the verdict on yellow foliage? I love variegated and yellow foliage but some just see chlorosis? I grow Lemon Fizz next to a dwarf berberis atropurpurea nana with blue linum perenne creating as much colour as any annuals would and for far longer!

Great , I like yellows and blues together very calming. I doubt it the perenne would do any good here with my wet clay.

Is it a pale delicate yellow or a an in your face colour?

Hiya joslow. Well I love it ...I guess it's butter yellow. Not too pale. The linum is bright blue, blows in wind and long flowering.

Hiya Verdun that sounds lovely, did you buy it locally or mail order?

Sounds nice and subtle , did you get a picture Verdun ?

Mail order. Got a couple but a local nursery sold it too last year. Needs good drainage, possibly bit tender in very cold areas (but cuttings easy) and likes sunshine. Check it out online. Santolina lemon fizz.

Thanks for the advice I am on clay so it may need to go into a pot.

I am on clay too joslow

It would look superb in a terracotta pot

Too frosty in the south-east for terracotta.

I would like a pink one, have you seen one?
